This dual role combines hands-on bookkeeping with ownership of the company’s cash management, treasury, and payment operations. You will ensure that financial transactions are recorded accurately, cash is optimally managed across entities and currencies, and financial controls are robust as we scale internationally. This is an ideal position for someone with strong accounting fundamentals who also enjoys analysis, process improvement, and cross-departmental collaboration.Key ResponsibilitiesBookkeeping & AccountingMaintain accurate accounting records across multiple entities and currencies (UK, US)Record invoices, receipts, accruals, and journals in line with month-end close processesReconcile bank, credit card, and intercompany accounts on a weekly basisSupport the preparation of management accounts, P&L, balance sheet, and cash-flow statementsLiaise with external accountants on VAT returns, annual filings, and auditsAssist in implementing accounting software integrations and process automationsManage the supplier and partner inboxesSupport in short term cash forecastingTreasury ManagementUsing a combination of SQL and CSV export to produce partner statements to send out each monthUsing a combination of SQL and CSV export to Reconcile supplier statement against bookings in our database each monthReconciling our database to accounts systemReconciling cancelled and error bookings and interacting with the customer support teamReporting & AnalysisPrepare weekly cash reports and monthly treasury summaries for managementBuild and maintain treasury dashboards and cash-flow modelsContribute to process improvements and internal control documentationJob Requirements EssentialMinimum 3 years’ experience in bookkeeping or finance operationsProficient with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or equivalent)Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including reconciliation and pivot analysisSolid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and financial reportingExcellent attention to detail and organisational skillsAbility to manage multiple accounts and entitiesDesirableExperience with SQLExperience with multi-currency and multi-entity environmentsFamiliarity with payment platforms (e.g., Wise, Revolut Business, Payoneer, Stripe)Exposure to treasury or cash-flow forecastingExperience in a high-growth tech or international businessPersonal AttributesAnalytical mindset with a pragmatic, hands-on approachDesire to learn new skills in a tech businessHighly organised and deadline-drivenComfortable in a dynamic, fast-moving environmentProactive communicator who takes ownership of accuracy and improvementCurious and commercially minded – keen to understand the “why” behind the numbersDiversity & InclusionAt Intervest, we’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
