Role SummaryThe Business Analyst will serve as the primary liaison between business users and the IT or digital teams, ensuring that business requirements for key initiatives — including Core Banking, Mobile Banking, Loan Origination, Data Warehousing, and Automation Projects — are properly analyzed, documented, and implemented.This role combines strong business systems analysis skills with a practical understanding of banking operations and process improvement. While the primary focus is on defining and managing business and system requirements, the analyst will also apply Lean Six Sigma and process optimization techniques to identify efficiencies and opportunities for digital transformation across the Bank. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Business Analysis Work with business stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements for new systems, integrations, and enhancement projects.Translate business needs into clear user stories, use cases, or system requirement specifications (SRS) that can be executed by IT or vendor development teams.Conduct gap analysis between existing systems and new solutions, identifying dependencies, limitations, and required changes.Participate in solution design sessions with IT, vendors, and business units to ensure alignment between business goals and technical delivery.Define and manage acceptance criteria, develop test scripts, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure delivered systems meet requirements.Monitor post-implementation performance and gather feedback for system optimization or next-phase improvements.Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to manage change requests, system incidents, and enhancement backlogs.B. Process Improvement and Six SigmaApply Lean Six Sigma and other analytical methods to identify process bottlenecks, redundancies, and automation opportunities.Support business units in developing and implementing process improvement initiatives that leverage technology, automation, and digital tools.Track and report on improvement outcomes such as cycle time reduction, efficiency gains, or cost savings.Contribute to the Bank’s digital transformation roadmap by recommending process reengineering or automation opportunities. QualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Experience:Minimum 5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or Systems Analyst, preferably in banking or financial services.Proven experience in documenting system requirements, performing data mapping, and coordinating UAT.Exposure to core banking, loan origination, mobile banking, or data warehouse projects strongly preferred.Background in business process improvement, automation, or Six Sigma projects required.Certifications (Preferred):Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP), PMI-PBA, or equivalent.Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.Skills:Strong knowledge of banking systems and workflows.Proficiency in creating process maps, SRS, and UAT documentation using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, Jira, or Confluence.Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
