ROCKWOOL New Businesses is our completely new innovation and growth engine, developing and scaling solutions that extend the benefits of stone wool into new markets beyond our core business. Guided by our mission of “Releasing the natural power of stone to enrich modern living”, we combine the strength of ROCKWOOL’s global brand and footprint with an entrepreneurial mindset to bring innovative and sustainable products and systems to market.What you will be doing :You will work closely with our Group Development department as well as the rest of the Group to identify, explore, and mature completely new applications and business models. The candidate will report to the Director of ROCKWOOL New Businesses.Key responsibilities :Discovery & insight generation : Identify emerging trends, technologies and unmet customer needs through targeted market research, hands‑on discovery, customer interaction and mapping of trends to identify business opportunitiesTesting & validation : Test and validate ideas through experiments, customer interviews, pilot programs and data‑driven analysis; build business cases to validate value, feasibility and commercial potentialPartnerships : Scout, engage and partner with external entities such as startups, research labs, innovation hubs, universities and early-adoption customersBusiness design & commercialization : Develop and test business models, value propositions and go‑to‑market strategies for new offeringsCross‑functional execution & scaling : Align with R&D, marketing, finance, legal and sales; secure internal buy‑in and support implementationExternal & internal advocacy : Represent ROCKWOOL New Businesses internally and towards external stakeholdersWhat you bring :Qualification : Master’s degree from a top‑tier university or business school Relevant experience : Background in developing new products or businesses in product‑driven industries is preferred, or equivalent experience within consulting, corporate strategy or startup rolesCommercial experience & technical affinity : Strong commercial judgment, ability to define customer value, pricing and revenue models, build business cases and translate technical input into market opportunitiesVenture & innovation skills : Hands‑on experience with market testing of ideas (experiments, proof of concept, pilot test, minimum viable products) and progressing pilots toward scalePartnership development : Demonstrated ability to scout, engage and manage relationships with startups, research labs, innovation hubs, universities and early-adoption customersCross‑functional & stakeholder management : Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders including R&D, marketing, finance, legal and sales; secure senior‑level buy‑in and coordinate cross-functional teamsMindset & delivery capability : Entrepreneurial, comfortable with ambiguity and iteration; strong English communication; structured project management to take initiatives from concept to operational integration (international experience preferred)What we offer :Join a dynamic and international team where bold ideas meet real impact.
