Business Development Support Engineer

Role Overview The BD Engineer will play a key role in assisting the Business Development team by managing technical and commercial documentation, handling pre-qualification requirements, and communicating with customers for heat exchanger manufacturing projects. The role requires sound knowledge of heat exchanger manufacturing processes, ERP systems, and industry-specific commercial terms, with strong exposure to the Oil & Gas sector. Key Responsibilities Support the Business Development team in preparing and submitting proposals, quotations, tenders, and pre-qualification documents. Manage and update all sales records accurately in the ERP system. Review and interpret customer specifications, datasheets, scope of work, and commercial terms & conditions. Coordinate with internal departments such as Design, Production, QA/QC, and Procurement to gather technical and cost-related information. Ensure that all submissions comply with ASME codes, industry standards, and ISO requirements. Assist with basic market research and maintain awareness of GCC market trends (preferred). Support customer relationship management by responding to queries and providing required documentation. Maintain technical and commercial documentation for tenders, contracts, and proposals. Track opportunities, inquiries, quotations, and follow-ups to support BD targets. Technical Skills 5 - 7 years of proven experience in strong understanding of heat exchangers, ASME codes, and relevant manufacturing standards. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Hands-on experience working with ERP systems for sales and project tracking. Good understanding of commercial terms, contractual conditions, and tender requirements.
