As part of our Employer Group, we work with a variety of forward thinking partners and are excited to share this opportunity that sits within our growing group.Role OverviewThis internship provides broad exposure to business operations across multiple industries, countries, and business settings, combining administrative coordination, property and rental portfolio tasks, digital systems work, and high volume communication management. You will support functions such as client engagement, automation assisted workflows, basic system setup, social media coordination, and monthly reporting. The role is primarily based around Bellville, Cape Town, and surrounding student areas, with occasional local travel between sites and suppliers.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with communication management across multiple businesses, including email inbox oversight, lead responses, client queries and structured correspondence trackingMaintain and update social media accounts by posting basic content, responding to messages and coordinating updates with leadershipSupport the daily operations of property and rental management portfolios, including site coordination, documentation updates, scheduling and supplier liaisonSupport business solutions work by assisting with the setup, testing and refinement of operational systems built around automation and AI capabilitiesContribute to data organisation, preparation of reports and basic analysis to inform decision makingCoordinate local visits to properties and suppliers when requiredPrepare internal and external documents, updates and workflow summariesAssist with administrative functions such as digital filing, invoice tracking, database maintenance and process documentationSupport monthly leadership reconciliations by gathering inputs, organising data and compiling summariesParticipate in operational planning sessions and improvement initiatives across varied business environmentsRequirementsBachelor's degree required (required)Demonstrated interest in business operations, systems development or administrative coordinationAbility to travel locally between properties, suppliers and operational sites when neededStrong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence managing email correspondence and client queriesWillingness to learn and use digital tools including automation features and AI supported systemsProficiency in Google Suite or readiness to learn quicklyStrong organisational ability with attention to accuracy and detailComfortable working across different businesses and operational contextsAbility to work independently while also collaborating closely with team membersPositive, proactive approach to handling varied responsibilitiesBenefitsThis opportunity gives the incumbent all-round business exposure, and the opportunity to refine the disciplines and behaviours to succeed in a wide variety of business settings, with the following benefits:Collaborative, people centred performance cultureOpportunities to grow in a fast paced environmentStipend, shared accommodation, commissions and performance based bonuses includedExposure to a wide range of operational, property, digital systems and communication functions across multiple business settingsOur Recruitment ProcessThe peopleworth Employer Group follows a fair, transparent and multi stage recruitment process designed to ensure mutual fit.
