Apply today and be part of something bigger.Location: 68 Zendeling street Rustenburg, South AfricaJob DescriptionYour day-to-day duties will include but not limited toManage, analyze and profile information generated by Crime Information systemsConduct data interrogation, analysis and profiling on Crime Information related database systemsDetecting of patterns and trends in data related to priority crimes and security risksConduct comprehensive reconstruction analysis on identified trendsAccurate and comprehensive identification of crime and security threatsTimely, comprehensive and accurate response to urgent requests from ManagementEnsure Discretion and confidentialityAdhering to Safety, Regulations, The Act, Codes of practice and standardsVetting of vendors and presenting identified risks to BusinessProvide comprehensive and accurate output on Crime Information systemsCompile comprehensive and accurate reconstruction analyses chartsConduct all work according to applicable and required legislation, policies, standards and procedures to ensure output is admissible criminal court evidenceExecute the System and Crime reporting protocol (including manuals, policies and procedures)Provide efficient collaboration and assistance in investigationsProvide comprehensive, accurate and in-depth feedback presentations on findings, identified patterns, trends and threatsEffective Inter-department/unit communication and correspondence with all relevant role-playersThis role is at a C4 level reporting to the Protection Services AnalystGood employee relationsEffective two-way communication in FIU unitDevelop a trusting and mutual respect relationship with internal and external stakeholdersEnsure that employees work in a safe and productive environment and set targets for improvementsSupport and participate in the training and development requirements of employees especially in terms of new systems and work practicesIdentify potential conflict situations and minimize the implicationsIdentify ideas to increase motivation and competenciesQualificationsGrade 12Registered with PSIRA Grade BValid driver’s license code B will be advantageousNQF level 5 qualification related to Security risk management, Crime analysis, research, management or Policing will be advantageous or RPL or Relevant experience in the roleExperienceAt least 4 years practical experience in Police or Security related environment.Technical Knowledge (experience) Required For RoleAdvanced level of computer literacy: MS OfficeBasic knowledge of applicable business communicationEnglish proficient – Write, speak and readCrime analysis applications (Analyst Notebook (or iBase) systems or Crime intelligence, or equivalent applications)Analytical ability and conceptual skills relating to:Reconstruction analysisStatistical analysisTrend analysis (Time-line & Geographical)Understanding and recognition of criminal incident behavior andSuspect profilingYou Will Also Need To HaveNo criminal recordPass polygraph testComputer LiteracyGood command of English language both written and speakingIf successful, you will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness Certification.Additional InformationWhat We OfferAt Valterra Platinum, you will join a team committed to excellence and impact.We OfferMeaningful work in a high-performance, values-led environment.Market-aligned reward and recognition.Opportunities for learning, development and progression.A culture that respects diversity and encourages innovation.A clear commitment to safe Operations.Inclusion and DiversityValterra Platinum is an equal opportunities employer.
