Job ProfileAnalyse market trends and customer preferences to select appropriate product ranges that align with company goals and current fashion trendsManage relationships with existing suppliers, negotiate contracts, and identify opportunities to source new suppliers to expand product offerings.Oversee purchasing activities, including cost estimation, to ensure profitability and timely delivery of products.Monitor performance indicators, manage stock levels, and implement strategies to optimize inventory, including managing ageing inventory, promotions, sales, and purchases.Collaborate closely with Design and Development teams to source new and alternative products that meet customer demand and align with brand aesthetic.Develop and implement best buying practices and processes to improve business performance, including vendor management, product assortment planning, and inventory optimization.Conduct regular store visits to get feedback, monitor product displays, and ensure products are presented in a suitable and timely manner.Work on improving existing product lines by identifying areas for enhancement, cost reduction, or product differentiation.Candidate ProfileA diploma / Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Fashion Merchandising, or related field. Minimum of 4 years of experience in buying and purchasing within the fashion retail industry.Strong understanding of fashion trends, market dynamics, and customer behaviour.Proven track record of negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost savings.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Micros
