This role goes beyond managing current supplier performance – you will actively shape and implement supply chain strategies that strengthen supply chain resilience and create long-term value. If you are proactive, thrive in international environments, and are motivated by making a measurable impact, we look forward to connecting with you.Your ResponsibilitiesSupply Chain StrategyManage and optimize the existing supplier base within the assigned categoryEnhance and execute the category strategy to align with business goalsIdentify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to strengthen the supply networkProactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the supply chainCommercial ManagementLead price negotiations and contract discussions with suppliers to secure optimal termsConduct should-cost analysis to establish and validate cost targetsPerform benchmarking to evaluate supplier competitiveness and drive cost improvementsManage the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process to ensure market-aligned pricingSupply Chain ExcellenceInitiate and support supplier development projects to address and improve poor performanceCollaborate closely with Supplier Quality Engineers to drive continuous improvement in supplier capabilities and processesDeliveries / CapacitiesSupport operational purchasing in resolving delayed deliveries to minimize supply disruptionsEnsure adequate production capacity across the supplier portfolio to meet demandGuarantee material availability through proactive planning and coordinationIdentify potential capacity constraints early and implement mitigation strategiesYour BackgroundBachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related fieldMin. of 3 years’ work experience in a similar positionBasic understanding of production technologies such as investment casting, precision machining, forging, or coating processes is essentialConfidence in interpreting and working with technical drawings and specificationsTechnical background and profound supply management commercial understandingExperienced in strategic supply chain/procurement in an international environmentStrong experience in supplier development and quality improvement (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, ISO9001, Six Sigma Green Belt)Project Management experience in an international context, persistent in executionExperienced handling of SAP and Office toolsExcellent negotiation skillsA collaborative and solution-focused approach as well as strong communication skillsAmbition to lead cross functional teams in an international environmentGood command both in English and GermanTeam player approachA minimum on-site presence of 2–3 days per week is expectedWillingness to travel 5-15%Your BenefitsCanteenChildcareModern office, smart workingFlexible Working ModelAttractive holiday plansRemote Work PolicyEmployee Assistance ProgramWe look forward to receiving your application.
