Our goal is to support clients in actively managing energy costs and improve their brand image by adopting green solutions.Role DescriptionThis is a 1-year contract, on-site role for a Construction Project Manager, based in Toronto, ON. The Construction Project Manager will oversee and coordinate building retrofit projects and other energy efficiency initiatives. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and executing construction projects, managing budgets, liaising with project teams and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with standards, and monitoring project progress to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality projects while maintaining efficiency and safety standards.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate engineering firms through 30%, 60%, 90% design submissions.Manage drawing sets, reports, cost estimates, and reliance letters.Ensure design compliance with standards.Lead weekly/bi-weekly design coordination meetings.Support procurement, RFPs, bid evaluation, and contract assembly.Maintain project schedule and budget to meet deadlines.Coordinate construction trades during execution.Manage RFIs, change orders, and documentation.Prepare weekly client updates and maintain PM software records.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.5+ years project management experience in construction or retrofits.Experience managing engineering consultants during design.Understanding of HVAC, mechanical/electrical retrofits, and/or solar PV (asset).Familiarity with CCDC contract structures.Strong communication and schedule-management skills.Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.Knowledge of energy management, building efficiency practices, or related industries is an asset.
