📍 Location: Brussels | 🕓 Contract: Full-time | 💼 Type: Permanent or Freelance | 🏠 Hybrid: 2 days/week remoteAbout the RoleJoin the Digital Department of a leading energy infrastructure company as a Functional Analyst – Business Oriented, and play a pivotal role in the digital transformation of gas infrastructure management. You’ll be part of the Field Applications & Integrity Management team, driving innovation and operational excellence across key areas such as grid maintenance, metering, cathodic protection, and terminal operations.Your mission: ensure that digital tools and applications truly meet the business needs—improving efficiency, safety, and performance in a rapidly evolving energy landscape.Your ResponsibilitiesAs a Functional Analyst, you will:Enhance and support the KLIM-CICC external platform, including onboarding, validation, functional testing, and coordination with service providers.Support end-users of internal asset management applications, ensuring smooth daily operations.Analyze and challenge business needs, define clear functional requirements, and propose smart ICT solutions aligned with enterprise architecture.Translate business needs into user stories and detailed functional specifications using UML and BPMN.Document and maintain business processes, use case diagrams, and data models.Define and execute test scenarios for system, integration, and user acceptance testing.Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all functional questions during development.Facilitate estimation and planning sessions, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams.Contribute to end-user documentation such as manuals, release notes, and training materials.Actively participate in digital projects related to network inspection, maintenance, metering quality, and dispatching tools.Your ProfileMust-Have SkillsExcellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.Strong critical thinking and attention to detail.Adaptable, pragmatic, and open-minded mindset.Ability to work within enterprise architecture and security frameworks.Fluent in Dutch and French, with a good command of English.Should-Have SkillsExperience providing end-user support.Familiarity with UI design principles.Proficiency in Agile tools (e.g., MS Visual Studio TS).Skilled with documentation and collaboration tools (Microsoft Office, Confluence).Experience using UML modeling tools (e.g., Sparx Enterprise Architect).Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server).Solid understanding of UML Business Process Modeling (BPMN).Background in the energy sector and asset management domain.Nice to HaveKnowledge of SAP PM (S/4HANA).Experience with geospatial asset management or industrial applications.Familiarity with domain-driven design and interface specifications.Prior experience with inspection or maintenance-related digital projects.Who we areCommunity Consulting goes beyond traditional consulting; it’s all about fostering connections in an atmosphere of trust and confidence.Transparency & Honesty : We say things as they are.
