Power BI Data Engineer

Our client is seeking a Data Engineer with strong Power BI expertise who can convert complex, multi-source data into reliable insights. You will support the operational team by delivering accurate data models, automated pipelines and clear dashboards that highlight performance indicators such as quality, efficiency and workload. Your work will enable data driven decision-making and support daily operations.ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain data pipelines that extract, transform and combine information from various systems.Prepare and structure datasets suitable for analytics and operational reporting.Develop interactive Power BI dashboards that reflect performance needs.Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Safeguard data quality, accuracy and consistency across all reporting layers.Use SQL, Python and Azure services to support data integration and automation.Key TasksIntegrate and harmonize datasets using SQL, Python, Azure Data Factory or similar tools.Improve and optimize data flows for performance and stability.Implement transformation logic, validation rules and quality checks.Troubleshoot data issues and propose structural improvements.Maintain documentation related to data models, pipelines and reporting logic.Profile / Ideal CandidateStrong hands-on experience with Power BI including DAX, data modeling and visualization.Proficient in SQL and able to create complex transformations.Experience using Python for data preparation and automation tasks.Working knowledge of Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL or Databricks.Familiar with ETL and ELT processes, data quality practices and dimensional modeling.Able to translate operational requirements into sustainable technical solutions.Analytical mindset and comfortable working with large operational datasets.Language requirements: French or Dutch, English is a plus
