Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking a Director, Cars for Homes Program to lead and expand our multi-million-dollar vehicle donation initiative. This role is responsible for driving program growth, optimizing revenue, overseeing vendor partnerships, ensuring compliance with IRS regulations and HFHI policies, and maximizing unrestricted funding to affiliates. The Director will manage a high-performing team and collaborate across departments to streamline processes and strengthen program impact.Key ResponsibilitiesGrow and Scale the Cars for Homes Program (30%)Strategically expand program reach and manage revenue expectations.Maintain a self-funded budget and optimize funding distribution to affiliates.Identify opportunities to increase unrestricted affiliate revenue.Lead Vendor Relationships (40%)Negotiate and manage contracts with external vendors and partners.Ensure full compliance with IRS regulations and HFHI policies.Drive data-informed marketing and process efficiency initiatives.Leverage digital marketing and SEO trends to boost donor engagement.Collaborate Cross-Functionally (15%)Partner with internal teams to design and implement shared strategies.Streamline operations and improve program effectiveness.Engage and Support the Affiliate Network (10%)Strengthen affiliate relationships and motivate local participation.Share best practices and historical data to drive success.Lead and Develop the Cars for Homes Team (5%)Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.Provide coaching, development, and clear performance direction.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.Experience: 5–7 years of progressive experience in program management, business development, or related roles.Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, assess ROI, and drive revenue growth.Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.Proven experience managing vendor relationships and complex partnerships.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with Salesforce preferred.Experience working within a federated or affiliate-based organization a plus.Work Environment & TravelSetting: Fully remote or in-office (U.S.); flexible arrangement.Travel: Up to 5% domestic travel.Preferred Skills & Attributes3–5 years of experience in fundraising or nonprofit program management.Entrepreneurial and innovative approach to problem-solving.Ability to interpret and apply state and federal regulations related to vehicle donation programs.Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.Servant leadership approach grounded in humility, courage, and accountability.Active support of HFHI Values:o Humility – We are part of something bigger than ourselveso Courage – We do what’s right, even when it is difficult or unpopularo Accountability – We take personal responsibility for Habitat’s missionSafeguarding: HFHI requires that all employees take seriously their ethical responsibilities to safeguarding our intended beneficiaries, their communities, and all those with whom we work. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance. For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $89,340 to $105,100.Staff hired on a hybrid basis in the United States near an HFHI office location (Atlanta, Georgia / Washington, DC and Americus, GA), are required to report to the office on Tuesdays.
