🌟 We're Hiring: Director of Sales! 🌟We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to lead one of the Eco-Chic Iconic Hotel situated at the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales management, strategic planning, and team leadership to drive revenue growth and market expansion.📍 Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia⏰ Work Mode: Work From Office💼 Role: Director of SalesKey ResponsibilitiesOversee the functions and activities of Sales & Marketing personnel, including Assistant Director of Sales, Senior Sales Manager and Sales Manager.Co-ordinate the functions and activities with other departments as it relates to the Marketing/Sales function including but not limited to Rooms Division, Restaurants, Events & Bars and Finance Department.Interact with individuals outside the hotel, including but not limited to owners, management company associates, advertising agency, media, clients, government tourist offices, airlines, travel agents, tour operators, competitors, PPHG regional sales offices and other members of the local government and business community.Direct all sales activities of sales associate to ensure that they meet the goals of the marketing plan.Analyse market changes, implements programs with the sales department to meet these changes, such as changes brought about by political, economic or competitive changes in the market place.Be fully conversant with the OPERA Cloud Sales & Catering (OSEM) system. Implement policies & procedures that support its use in all areas of account management, bookings, review of sales associates’ activities, account tracing etc. Ensure all policies & procedures are fully documented and updated as necessary in the sales procedure manual.Conduct monthly reviews of total departmental productivity versus goal and analysis of each sales person's contributions are conducted regularly. Validate production analysis of hotel accounts and specific sales persons is produced accurately and on a timely basis for use by the sales associates. Ensure all individual sales associates achieve their individual goals for the respective months by achieving the team goal. Ensure sales team response completely and on time on customers’ inquiries. Practice professional account qualification on a consistent basis (i.e., measure budget needs, date flexibility, space requirement, competitive information etc). Attend tradeshows, travel functions, major business functions or as required/directed by the Hotel Management.Create excellent guest and client relationships through attention to detail, follow through with a personalised touch and empathy for customer perception and need.GeneralTogether with the Director of Sales & Marketing, assist and support on the development of the annual Business Plan, Hotel Budget and Marketing Plan in respective role and responsibilities. Gain excellent knowledge of the hotel facilities and services in the Hotel and apply that knowledge in selling against our competitors. Create excellent client relationship through attention to detail; prompt follow up and empathy for customer perceptions and needs whilst maintaining professionalism. Demonstrate good working relationship with other department heads and maintaining effective communication and teamwork. Possess a commitment to the quality of all departmental records (i.e., computerised mailing list) which impacts the workload of support associates.Comprehend, digest and comply to hotel policies and procedure as described in the Associate Handbook and other documents. Support and uphold the Hotel’s mission, vision and guiding principles. Adhere to all established policies and procedures relating to administration of accounts and ultimate booking of business.
