Engineering & Facilities Management Manager

JOB SUMMARYThe Engineering & Facilities Management Manager oversees the entire operation and maintenance of the hotel’s engineering department and ensures that the preventive maintenance schedule is properly followed and carried out.RESPONSIBILITIESLeads and manages the engineering team and contractors to ensure efficient hotel operationsOversees all preventive maintenance, utilities, plant equipment, and engineering facilities to ensure reliability, safety, and regulatory complianceCoordinates with other departments and government agencies regarding technical issues, permits, and statutory requirementsImplements and monitors energy conservation programs, water testing, utilities consumption, and inventory managementEnsures adherence to Fire and Life Safety standards, hotel policies, cleanliness, grooming, and professional conductConducts coaching, performance evaluation, training, and development of engineering staffManages facilities-related projects, including planning, budgeting, design coordination, contract management, construction monitoring, and project documentationPrepares technical and consumption reports and ensures timely corrective actions when performance targets are not metPerforms additional duties assigned by the Assistant Director or Chief of Engineering & Facilities ManagementQUALIFICATIONSLicensed Mechanical EngineerMinimum of 5 years’ experience in the hospitality industryAt least 3 years in a managerial role, demonstrating strong interpersonal and decision-making skillsKnowledgeable in budget preparation for both OPEX and CAPEXKnowledgeable in MEPFS codesFamiliar with LGU regulations and building codes compliance
