About the JobThe Environmental Project Manager will support environmental compliance and monitoring at the Nalunaq Mine, working from a home base in the UK with approximately six visits to Greenland per year (each 1–4 weeks) and occasional travel to Company offices. Reporting to the HSE Manager and supported by an Environmental Field Technician, the postholder will deliver the environmental requirements of the Environmental Monitoring Plan and contribute to wider site projects.Application process Interested candidates should submit their CV, and references to recruitment@amaroqminerals.com. Main responsibilitiesWork within a small team at the Nalunaq Mine site managed by the HSE Manager, and supported by a dedicated site Environmental Field TechnicianDeliver environmental compliance tasks in accordance with the project Environmental Monitoring Plan.Manage other small scale environmental related projects, or aspects of larger projects where an environmental input is required.Undertake monitoring such as surface water sampling, minewater sampling, dust sampling, Maintain records such as wildlife observations, water and fuel consumption, waste consignments, reagent consumption, helicopter and marine vessel transport recordsMaintain and work with external consultants on the meteorological station, river gauging station and minewater level station, data reporting and maintenance.Undertake inspections, such as fuel storage, chemical consumption, waste, housekeeping, discharges, dust, landscape intrusion.Maintain registers such as chemical inventory register, environmental incident registerSchedule analysis with overseas and mine laboratoriesManage and maintain records of samplingFor all the above, process the data records and generate data and inspection reports. Considerable data entry and manipulation will be required.Assist the team in developing App based data solutions to improve efficiency of operationsReport data to the Company ESG team Skills and competenciesRecent Master graduate in: Mining Environmental Management, Environmental Geology, Environmental Technology, Pollution Management, or similar related disciplineEmployment experience: Evidence of 1 year experience in a similar field - voluntary or research work will be acceptableField experience: must have field experience with sampling programmesIT experience : must have strong IT skills and data handling skills. An awareness of AI based systems development would be advantageous Experience with presenting data using GISThe role is a combination of remote working, most likely home based, and field work at a challenging and physically remote mine location. The candidate should be strongly self-motivated and adaptable.
