Estimation Engineer (Electrical)

We are hiring Electrical Engineer – EstimationJob Purpose:The Electrical Engineer – Estimation is responsible for preparing precise technical and commercial estimates for electrical and EV charging projects. The role involves reviewing tender documents, conducting site visits, analyzing drawings, preparing BOQs, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring competitive and compliant cost proposals aligned with project requirements.Key Responsibilities:Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.Conduct site visits to assess project scope, verify quantities, and understand installation requirements.Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for electrical materials, equipment, and labor components.Contact and coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotations, evaluate offers, and ensure cost accuracy.Negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal pricing and delivery terms.Perform cost and technical analyses to support tender decisions and management reviews.Work closely with the design, procurement, and operations teams to ensure technical compliance and alignment.Support value engineering to optimize cost and efficiency without compromising quality.Maintain an updated database of materials, suppliers, and market pricing trends.Ensure all estimations comply with UAE utility authority standards (ADDC, DEWA, AADC, FEWA, etc.).Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.Minimum 5 years of total experience with at least 2 years in the UAE.Proven experience in electrical estimation or tendering, preferably within electric contracting or EV charging projects.Strong knowledge of LV and MV systems, electrical infrastructure, and estimation processes.Familiarity with UAE utility authority procedures and compliance requirements.Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software.Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
