CivilandScape has recently created an opening for an experienced and qualified landscape and civil works Estimator. The successful candidate will be working from our Rozelle Head Office and will be working on a diverse range of projects from high end residential to high-rise city centre commercial projects. CivilandScape are looking for a knowledgeable, well presented and diligent applicant to immediately join our team.PREREQUISITESThe candidate must fulfill the following prerequisites to be able to apply for this position:Must have industry knowledge and experience (Construction, Civil and Landscaping Estimators experience). Minimum 2 years’ fulltime experienceRelated tertiary education and qualificationFamiliar with Construction / Civil & Landscape industry standards and methodologiesGood oral and written communication skillsHave good written and computing skillsCurrent White Card NSWTHE ROLEThe role generally requires the candidate to be someone who:Present well in their attire and manner particularly when liaising with clients and in front of the general publicOperates efficiently, diligently and who can work independently as well as in a teamIs looking for a long-term stable working environment and who is looking to expand their knowledge and professionalismAs an Estimator you will be responsible for the following key tasks:Assist and work collaboratively with the Managing Director, General Manager and Project Manager of the companySearch, track, monitor and maintain tenders including tender requests, live tender, expressions of interest and project prospectsReview, interpret and analyse technical drawings, scope of works, specifications, reports and the likeComplete detailed plan take-offs, bill of quantities and project costsIdentify and illustrate project requests for information, clarification, risk analysis, inclusions, exclusions, assumptionsPrepare detailed tender submissions for management review and sign offLiaise with internal and external stakeholders including clients, suppliers and subcontractorsMonitor and negotiate supplier agreements and pricing to ensure pricing remains competitiveYou may also be required to complete or assist in:Build preferred supplier and subcontractor list in conjunction with the Project TeamMonitor and analysing market pricing and client feedback for the purpose of identifying the company’s competitiveness and position in the marketAssist in market analysis and identifying opportunity for new work and new sources of cashflow and incomeReporting including statical reporting against company KPI’sAssist the General Manager in building company processes and procedures within your departmentROLE OFFERWorking hours are generally between 8:00am and 5:00pm from Monday to Friday (5 DAY WEEK)Annual salary based on experience
