Fabricator

Location: East Bank DemeraraDuties And ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine fabrication requirements.Operate and program fabrication machinery safely.Set up and operate welding equipment.Measure, mark, and layout materials according to production specifications, using precision instruments.Conduct tack welding, grinding, and finishing processes to refine fabricated components.Assemble metal structures and components using bolting, riveting, and welding techniques.Conduct quality inspections to ensure all fabricated components meet required specifications and tolerances.Troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues, including material defects, incorrect cuts, and welding inconsistencies.Maintain and calibrate fabrication equipment and tools to ensure operational efficiency.Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations to maintain a secure working environment.RequirementsTechnical Diploma or higher.Certification in welding, metal fabrication, or a related field.Proven experience as a fabricator or in a similar metalworking role.Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.Hands-on experience with fabrication tools.Strong knowledge of different metal types and their properties.Ability to work with tight tolerances and perform precise measurements.Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as needed.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
