Our platform is based on technology developed in the Muir Lab at Princeton University after more than 20 years of pioneering intein and protein engineering research by our co-founders.Job SummaryThe Finance Intern will support the Finance team in day-to-day accounting and financial activities, gaining hands-on experience in financial administration within a growing company. Reporting to the Finance Senior Accountant, the Finance Intern will assist with billing, transactions, reporting, reconciliations, and other finance-related tasks, learning essential skills for a future career in finance.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting SupportAssist in managing daily accounting operations, including data entry and basic transaction processing.Help verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions under supervision.Assist with reconciliations and preparation of simple account analyses.Procurement and PaymentsOrganize and file invoices, orders, proof of payments, contracts, and other financial documents.Help with procurement process.Financial Documentation and OrganizationSupport the team in justifying R&D expenses.Collect minutes and other agreements and keep them up to date.Collect receipts for personnel expenses for subsequent reimbursements.Reporting AssistanceSupport the preparation of internal financial reports and summaries.Assist with expense reports for corporate cardsHelp gather information for external partners, including auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders.Support any specific request from our management team.QualificationsCurrently studying a Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, Accounting, AdministrationEconomics, or a related fieldExperience not required but desirableBasic knowledge of accounting principles, Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Business proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written)Requirement: Possibility to sign an internship agreement with your academic institutionKEY COMPETENCIESWillingness to learn: Curious, eager to develop financial skills, and open to feedback.Communication: Ability to ask questions and communicate clearly with the team.Teamwork: Collaborate effectively and support team objectives.Attention to Detail: Maintain accuracy in data entry and documentation.Adaptability: Comfortable taking on different tasks in a dynamic environment.What You Will Take Away From This ExperienceHands-on accounting experience: learn to record transactions, perform reconciliations, and support financial analysesProcurement and payments cycle: understand how purchasing processes, approvals, and reimbursements are managed.Reporting and compliance: contribute to internal and external reports while gaining practical knowledge of regulations, audits, and compliance requirements.Financial documentation management: develop organizational discipline handling invoices, contracts, receipts, and expense reports.Professional and global skills development: enhance teamwork, communication, adaptability, and attention to detail while experiencing how finance operates end-to-end in an international growing companyApplicants must be eligible to enter into an internship agreement through their academic institution.
