Job DescriptionCore Responsibilities: Respond immediately and safely to emergency calls, unforeseen circumstances and requests for assistance. Protect the public and property at incidents of fires, road accidents, floods, bomb incidents, spillages of dangerous substances, and rail and air crashes Rescuing trapped people and animals. Inspect and maintain the appliance (fire engine) and its equipment, assisting in the testing of fire hydrants and checking emergency water supplies. Undertake drills and physical training on techniques, use of equipment and related matters; maintaining the level of physical fitness necessary to carry out all the duties of a firefighter. Drive fire vehicles in a safe manner to any locations inside or outside the port in accordance with routine periodic maintenance and checks. QualificationsBachelor's degree in F ire Safety, Engineering, Science, HSE, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.Firefighter Level II (at least 120 hours beyond Firefighter Level I) course including knowledge on fire, fire suppression and suppression systems, fire behavior, fire chemistry, fire rescue, firefighting equipment, fire appliance, safety, survival and hazmat operations, in accordance with NFPA 1081 (fulfilment of NFPA 1001 requirements shall be additionally beneficial)Certified Emergency Vehicle Operations (CEVO) – at least 16 hours in accordance with NFPA 1451 and 1002Hazmat operation level course (at least 24 hours) in accordance with NFPA 472, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120, or EPA 40 CFR Part 311First responder course (OPRC Level 1 – at least 40 hours) in accordance with IMO Driving license issued in UAE
