Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking for passionate and dynamic Finance professionals who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of customer service and provide creative solutions to our guests.As a General Cashier you are responsible to collect deposited envelops from the Front Office safe and check and tally items against the list, whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as-Collect the daily deposit in presence of witness from the Hotel safe in accordance with Hotel StandardsDeposit the daily collection in the designated bank while accompanied by Hotel security in accordance with Hotel StandardsPrepare the General Cashier Daily Report in a timely mannerFunction as custodian of petty cash fund and administer petty cash disbursements to Employees in accordance with Hotel Policies. Ensure that the fund is counted and reconciled at the end of the dayMaintain adequate currency change and provide change to Hotel cashiers as requiredEnsure that the general cashier safe is secure, locked and password/combination is kept confidential. Access to general cashier cabin should be restricted to authorised persons onlyDevelop and maintain manual and computer filing system and ensure that the files are properly named, catalogued and access is available for authorised persons onlyOperate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environmentComply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and proceduresVerify and submit various Employee documentation for further approval, as per the approval matrix. These include vacation requests, final settlements, change of status, air ticket LPOs, HR action forms, loan requests etc Verify overtime vouchers with the attendance system and forward for further approvalCoordinate closely with the Human resources team for all Employee documentation and any discrepancies with relation to Employee recordsUpdate the payroll system with Employee bank information prior to salary processingPrepare the monthly payroll within the cutoff date and arrange for bank advices to be signed and submitted to the bank prior to the last day of each monthPrepare all payroll reports and Journal vouchers as per the standardsKeep updated with Human Resources policies and labour lawsSkillsEducation, Qualifications & ExperiencesYou should have a degree in hotel management or accounting and at least one year previous experiences within a hotel environment. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and computer literacy is a must, while knowledge of Opera, Micros, FBM and SUN System is an asset.Knowledge & CompetenciesThe ideal candidate will be results oriented and a self motivator along with a positive attitude.
