Informa Markets, a division within Informa, creates global platforms for industries. We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets.Job DescriptionThis role is based in our Cairo Festival City Business Park, New Cairo, Cairo, Egypt office.Reports to: Creative LeadWe’re looking for a talented Designer who is a confident, creative, and proven collaborator who believes flexibility, adaptability, agility are the keys to success. It’s an amazing time to join the Creative Team at Informa Markets, as we continue to deliver game-changing creative experiences for some of the best brands in the events world. This is where you come in.Reporting to the Creative Manager, you’ll have experience in all things design and bring the flair, ideas, and skills to deliver innovative experiences...no Comic Sans around here. You should have the skills and attributes to be flexible, versatile and can articulate the value of a concept or visual design to key stakeholders and team members with equal effectiveness.This role requires a deep understanding of all design and digital executions, from best practice to user behaviors, as well as knowing the latest trends and opportunities in the design industry.QualificationsWho you are:5+ years of experience as a designer in events industry or with an agencyYou have strong visual and conceptual skills, with the technical ability behind the computer to back this upYou’ve got a desire to grow and learn more about workflows, pushing design thinking and working with different visual stylesStrong organizations skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same timeCreative, resourceful, and dedicated to fully understanding the problem before reaching a solutionYou love working as part of a creative team and bouncing ideas off each other to produce the best possible workYou have experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Animation skills are a HUGE plus but not a necessity (if you have references of this make sure you show us)You’re an excellent communicatorA high attention to detail is a mustHaving UX/UI skills is a big bonus pointWhat you'll do:Respond to creative design briefs for ongoing projects and team pitchesBe proactive and continue to bring forward ideas, both big and small, to pitch to teamsRespond to in-house and team feedback in a professional and timely mannerHandle ad hoc projects with quick turnaround times when necessaryKeep up to date with media production for digital, online and print. Know the technical specifications and best practices for each of themParticipate in pitch processes and brainstorming sessions with the wider teamMaintain an organised file structure and data management system that allows all team members to easily access project filesStay up to date with current design trends and always be on the lookout for new techniques, styles, and cool, shiny tricksOh, and you’ll have fun of course.
