Now they need a leader who can help them think bigger, build a stronger innovation culture, and turn smart ideas into commercial growth across retail and foodservice.The Head of Innovation will set the 3 to 5 year roadmap for new product development and category expansion. You will lead the end-to-end process from insight and ideation through to launch and execution, ensuring the business maximises the value of its capabilities, brands, and existing categories.You will inherit an 8 person NPD team, with the opportunity to redefine how they work and unlock greater creativity, speed, and collaboration. Within 90 days, you will be expected to deliver a strategic innovation plan including a prioritised pipeline, commercial targets, and a clear framework for decision-making. UK or EU market experience is highly valued, given the maturity and competitiveness of those regions.What you’ll be doing:Build and deliver a long-term innovation roadmap across meat and value-added proteinInfluence and collaborate at a senior level, reporting directly to the Chief Sales and Marketing OfficerShape and develop a high-performing NPD function while embedding a culture of innovationUse insights, trend data, and commercial logic to decide where to play and how to winDrive category growth with both established retailers and strategic foodservice partnersPlay a central role in a business undergoing significant investment and rapid growthWhat you’ll need:Proven experience leading innovation and launching commercially successful productsStrong strategic thinking with the ability to build long-term pipelines and category plansConfident in interpreting commercial and consumer data to prioritise opportunitiesSkilled in influencing senior stakeholders and presenting to key customersAble to partner effectively with technologists and development teamsExperience in meat or protein is preferredCreative yet commercially disciplined, with strong leadership capabilityJob Title: Head of InnovationLocation: Sydney region, AustraliaSalary: $180,000 - $195,000 base + superannuation (12%) + Bonus/STIThis role is being advertised by Redhook Global Talent on behalf of one of its clients.
