We are seeking a visionary Head of People & Culture (HR Director) to lead our people strategy, build scalable processes, and shape the employee experience across multiple markets. This is a chance to build the foundations of a world-class culture and people function that enables EatClub’s growth worldwide.About The RoleAs Head of People & Culture, you will be part of the Executive Leadership Team and partner closely with the CEO, CFO, and department heads. You’ll own the full HR agenda, from compliance and HR operations to talent strategy, performance, and culture.This role is for a strategic builder and operator who thrives in scaling environments. You’ll set up and optimise HR processes across Australia and the UK, ensure compliance with employment law in both jurisdictions, and create an employee experience that attracts, retains, and develops top talent.Key ResponsibilitiesPeople Strategy & CultureeDefine and champion EatClub’s people strategy, ensuring alignment with business growth and cultural values.Drive initiatives that strengthen collaboration, “one team” mindset, and high performance.Embed diversity, equity, and inclusion into all people processes.HR Operations & ComplianceEstablish scalable HR operations across AU and UK, ensuring compliance with Fair Work (AU) and UK Employment Law.Oversee payroll, benefits, contracts, and HRIS systems.Ensure timely compliance with visas, right-to-work, pension/super, payroll tax, and workplace health & safety obligations.Talent Acquisition & Workforce PlanningBuild a world-class recruitment strategy to attract high-calibre talent across both markets.Partner with leaders to forecast headcount needs and align workforce planning to business growth.Own employer branding and candidate experience.Performance & DevelopmentDesign and implement performance frameworks (OKRs, KPIs, 360 feedback).Lead succession planning, talent reviews, and leadership development.Create learning & development opportunities to upskill employees in line with growth.Compensation & BenefitsDesign competitive and fair total reward structures across AU and UK, including equity programs.Benchmark salaries and benefits to remain competitive in global markets.Employee Engagement & ExperienceDrive initiatives that promote engagement, wellbeing, and retention.Implement feedback loops (pulse surveys, engagement reviews) and act on insights.Create scalable onboarding/offboarding experiences.Change & Growth EnablementSupport international expansion by setting up HR frameworks in new markets.Partner with Finance on workforce cost forecasting and HR budgeting.Coach leaders to build resilient, high-performing teams in fast-growth environments.What You Will BringProven experience as Head of HR / People & Culture Director in a scaling tech, SaaS, or marketplace environment.Strong knowledge of both Australian and UK employment law, HR compliance, and payroll/tax frameworks.Experience building HR operations across multiple countries.Deep expertise across the full HR spectrum: talent acquisition, performance, culture, compensation, and engagement.Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coach executives and managers.Commercial acumen and ability to align people strategy to business strategy.Experience navigating fast-paced, dynamic scale-up environments.Bonus: experience with HRIS implementation (e.g. Employment Hero, HiBob, or similar) and equity/ESOP programs.What We OfferCompetitive executive package with equity optionsThe opportunity to build and scale the People & Culture function of one of Australia’s most exciting hospitality-tech scale-ups.Direct impact on culture, employee experience, and international expansion.Collaborative, entrepreneurial, and innovative environment.A chance to shape the future of hospitality alongside visionary leadership and a world-renowned chef.We are scaling fast and need a people leader who can help us grow with heart and discipline.Are you ready to build EatClub’s culture and people foundations for global success?
