Health Safety Environment Executive

JOB PURPOSE: GCL is looking to hire an HSE Executive who is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) systems across project sites. The role ensures compliance with international and UAE HSE regulations, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards. This position supports continuous improvement initiatives, conducts risk assessments, delivers safety training, and fosters a culture of proactive safety awareness throughout the organization.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Support implementation of the site HSE Management Plan and company HSE policies.Conduct regular safety inspections and report unsafe acts or conditions.Assist in preparing risk assessments, permits-to-work, and safety checklists.Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for workers and subcontractors.Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, trainings, and incident reports.Monitor use and condition of PPE across site teams and report deficiencies.Support the HSE Engineer during incident investigations and corrective action tracking.Assist in preparing HSE reports, KPI summaries, and documentation for audits.Promote safe work behavior and contribute to a culture of safety on-site.EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:Minimum Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering.Certifications: NEBOSH / IOSH certification preferred. Basic First Aid or Fire Safety training is advantageous.Minimum Experience: 2–4 years of experience in HSE roles within construction or infrastructure projects.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:Job Specific: Familiarity with UAE HSE standards and company safety procedures.Capable of conducting basic safety inspections and awareness sessions.Competent in maintaining safety documentation and reports.Generic Skills: Good communication and teamwork skills.Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.Reliable, proactive, and disciplined in following safety protocols.
