Forvis Mazars is expanding its People & Organisation Advisory practice, and we’re looking for an HR Consultant who enjoys solving real business problems and partnering with clients through periods of growth, change, and transformation. We structure our work around three pillars:Keeping You Safe → HR compliance, risk and solid foundationsKeeping You Moving → HR operations, organisation design and integrationKeeping You Ahead → Leadership, capability, culture and transformationKeeping Organisations Safe (Compliance, Risk & Foundations)• Help clients strengthen HR compliance, governance, and risk management frameworks.• Support the development and review of HR policies, contracts, position descriptions and essential workforce documentation.• Assist with HR health checks, Fair Work/Award interpretation, and people-related due diligence.• Provide structured support on employment relations matters under the guidance of Senior Advisors.Keeping Organisations Moving (Operations, Design & Delivery)• Conduct people-focused diagnostics, interviews, surveys and workshops to understand current-state practices.• Support organisation design work including role clarity, team structures, spans of control and workforce planning.• Review and improve HR processes such as onboarding, performance, training, and employee lifecycle workflows.• Contribute to M&A integration activities including culture mapping, structure alignment and Day-1 readiness.• Analyse workforce data and prepare clear insights, reports and client-ready deliverables.• Coordinate project tasks, meeting documentation, action logs, and research to support smooth delivery.Keeping Organisations Ahead (Transformation, Culture & Leadership)• Assist in developing capability frameworks, performance models, and leadership development tools.• Support culture reviews, employee experience mapping, and broader people transformation initiatives.• Help build future-focused workforce strategies and people analytics insights.• Contribute to the creation of tools, templates, thought leadership, and practice development materials.You will bring:• 2–5 years’ experience in HR generalist, HR operations, advisory, or people-focused roles.• Good understanding of Australian HR legislation, Awards, Fair Work requirements, and compliance fundamentals.• Ability to analyse HR processes, workflows, and data to identify improvements.• Strong communication skills - able to engage with employees, managers, and stakeholders at all levels.• Confidence in preparing clear reports, documentation, and client-ready deliverables.• Curiosity, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to learn broader advisory skills.• Strong organisation and project coordination capability - able to manage tasks, timelines, and multiple priorities.• Comfort working in a consulting environment where pace, quality, and client service matter.• A collaborative approach and the ability to work closely with Partners, Senior Advisors, and client teams.Nice to have (not mandatory):• Experience with organisation design, workforce planning, or HR transformation work.• Exposure to M&A environments, integration, or culture/leadership projects.• Interest in people analytics, data insights, or modern HR tools.Why Forvis Mazars?For those who appreciate culture as much as commercial success, Forvis Mazars is the smart choice.
