We serve over half of the worldwide merchant fleet with products and services, and supply crew and technical management for some of the most complex vessels in the world.Global Business Services (GBS) is an in-house service provider specializing in HR, Finance and Technology for Wilhelmsen - providing high quality, scalable, reliable solutions that drive efficiency, enhance customer experience and cost-efficient business support servicesWho we are looking for:We have the opportunity for an HR Director to lead our HR service delivery to Wilhelmsen employees located in 8 countries across South Asia and Oceania.The role will combine operational local HR responsibility in Malaysia with leadership of HR teams covering Singapore, Myanmar, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and Vietnam. This includes the delivery of HR services across the employee lifecycle according to business expectations, as well as driving continuous improvement to ways of working.You will report to the Vice President HR, Global Business Services in Norway and be part of the global HR management team. You will act as a HR business partner for key business stakeholders the people agenda, as well as leading the operational HR delivery within these countries.Our ideal candidate will have a background of managing HR teams within this region, of working as a HR business partner and experience in driving improvements to local HR practices, including through the use of digital tools (e.g. Workday, ServiceNow HR). Our organization thrives by using modern tools including Workday / ServiceNow HR and is eager to utilize the business opportunities that comes with new digital tools and skills.Beyond this, we can offer competitive terms and conditions as well as a wide range of local benefits including Flexible Work Arrangement, Group Insurance Coverage, Additional EPF contribution and Competitive Medical cum Flexi Benefits.What you will work on:Ensure effective delivery of HR services according to customer SLAs, KPIs, and general expectations, as well as compliance requirementsEffectively lead local HR teams in relevant countries to ensure right levels of capacity, competence, and employee engagementAct as HR business partner for business stakeholders at all levels, including Directors and Vice Presidents on the people agendaPromote HR as a data-driven function, including analysis and interpretation of key HR metrics within HR teams and towards business stakeholdersEnsure legal compliance and support follow-up on relevant HR topics including GDPR, Human Rights Act, grievance handling, emergencies & incidentsSupport, coaching and follow-up on implementation of key annual people processes across the business (e.g. performance, compensation, engagement, succession planning etc)Advise on and support implementation of organization development initiatives in the business, including restructuring and M&A projects Drive improvements to HR set-up, tools and ways of working, including leading or contributing to local, regional and global improvement projectsParticipate in global initiatives to improve HR policies, processes and toolsQualifications you have for this role:Bachelor degree or equivalent preferably from Human Resource Management or Business Administration or equivalent. Extensive work experience can compensate8-10 years experience in Human Resources or related professionExperience of managing HR teams in South Asia & Oceania regionKnowledge of local Malaysian (&/or Singapore) employment law and practicesExperience of working in a shared services set-upStrong business acumen skills and ability to translate business needs into HR servicesBusiness partner mindset and service mindedGood communication skills and command of the English language (oral and written)Broad knowledge and extensive work experience within wide range of HR / people processesInterest in &/ or experience of technology and digitalization within the HR field; experience of working with Workday or ServiceNow HR is an advantageAbility to lead, motivate and develop interest in both senior management and employeesStrong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and cooperate with diverse individuals and culturesGood influencing skills, with ambition and ability to drive changeWork Location: Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaApplication deadline: Friday, 28th NovemberContact for more information:Nadiah Mohd Salihinnadiah.mohdsalihin@wilhelmsen.comPlease note that all positions at Wilhelmsen are subject to reference and ID checks.
