The HR Business Partner (HRBP) for South Korea will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders, to support organizational growth, talent development, and employee engagement.This role combines strategic HR partnership with hands-on execution to ensure alignment between business objectives and HR strategies within the South Korea team.Key Responsibilities:Strategic PartnershipPartner with business leaders to understand operational goals and design HR strategies that support business objectives.Provide insights on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategies.Advise leadership on performance management, employee engagement, and culture building.Support all employees on all levels with answering their questions and handling difficult situations to facilitate for the team their day to day activities.Employee Relations & EngagementAct as a trusted advisor for managers and employees on HR policies, conflict resolution, and employee well-being.Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture aligned with company values.Manage investigations, disciplinary actions, and grievances with fairness and compliance.Performance Management & HR SystemsPartner with the Compensation & Benefits team to ensure competitive and equitable reward structures.Support performance review cycles, goal setting, and continuous feedback initiatives.Leverage HR systems (such as Sage, Workday, or other HRIS/Payroll platforms) to ensure accurate data management, analytics, and reporting.Collaborate with Finance to analyze headcount, labor costs, and workforce metrics, demonstrating strong financial acumen in decision-makingCompliance & HR OperationsEnsure compliance with South Korea’s labor laws and employment regulations.Manage HR documentation, contracts, and HRIS updates for the South Korea team.Collaborate with the global HR team to harmonize HR policies and practices.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD, CHRP) is a plus.5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years as an HRBP or HR Generalist in South Korea.Demonstrated financial acumen and ability to interpret business and financial data for HR planning.Hands-on experience with HRIS or Payroll systems (Sage, Workday, SAP, or equivalent).Proven success in a matrix organization.Strong knowledge of Korean labor laws and HR best practices.Strategic mindset with operational execution capability.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Analytical and data-driven with a strong business orientation.Fluent in Korean and English (written and spoken).
