Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced and adaptable HR Specialist to join our growing product start-up. This role will be the primary executor for Compensation & Benefits (C&B), Reward programs, and Performance Management. This role ensures we establish fair, competitive, and scalable HR foundations to attract and retain top engineering and product talent.Key ResponsibilitiesHR Policy & Compliance Execution (Core Focus)Policy Implementation: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all C&B, Reward, and Performance Management policies, ensuring consistent and fair application across the IT organization.Compliance: Monitor and ensure all HR practices, especially related to pay equity, benefits administration, and statutory requirements, are strictly compliant with local labor laws and internal guidelines.Documentation: Maintain and update all policy-related documentation, employee handbooks, and HR portal information to reflect current, approved policies.Advisory: Act as the first point of contact for managers and employees regarding complex policy interpretation and procedure inquiries, providing clear, accurate, and timely guidance.Auditing: Conduct internal audits of C&B data, leave administration, and performance documentation to ensure policy adherence and data integrity.Compensation, Benefits (C&B), and RewardC&B Administration: Execute the day-to-day administration of employee benefits (e.g., health plans, retirement/401k, paid leave), ensuring accurate and timely enrollment, changes, and reporting.Reward Cycles: Support the efficient execution of the annual salary review, promotion, and bonus cycles, following established policy guidelines for budgeting, data aggregation, and distribution.Benchmarking Support: Assist in gathering and analyzing compensation data from IT industry surveys to inform policy adjustments and ensure the company's reward strategy remains competitive for tech roles.Vendor Liaison: Interface with C&B and benefits vendors/brokers to resolve complex claims and ensure contract terms align with company policy.Performance ManagementCycle Execution: Drive the operational execution of the performance review process (e.g., goal setting, check-ins, year-end ratings) using the HRIS/Performance Management System.Policy Linkage: Ensure the performance rating system and associated reward mechanisms are implemented strictly in accordance with approved policy.Reporting: Generate performance metrics and compliance reports for HR leadership and business managers.Required QualificationsExperience & EducationBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.3-5 years of dedicated HR experience, with a significant portion focused on C&B, Reward, and policy administration, preferably within the IT, Technology, or Software industry.Proven track record of successfully executing an SME company with annual HR cycles (e.g., Annual Review, Open Enrollment, Bonus Payout).English: fluently in 4 skills Critical Skills & CompetenciesPolicy Acumen: Demonstrable strong understanding and ability to interpret, apply, and execute detailed HR policies and procedures.Data & System Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, advanced formulas for compensation modeling).Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for explaining complex policies to a diverse, technical employee base.Attention to Detail: Meticulous and highly organized approach to handling sensitive employee data and administrative tasks.
