With a mission rooted in values like Independence, Equity, Quality, Empowerment, and Financial Sustainability, Elderbloom has been serving the community for over 40 years.Role Description:Position: Non-Executive Director / Board Member (Property Development & Construction)Location: Wanneroo, Western AustraliaResponsibilities:Strategic Planning: Contribute to the organisation’s long-term strategy through property, asset, and capital development insights that support the board’s strategic decisions.Project Governance: Provide oversight of major capital and redevelopment projects, ensuring effective governance, financial control, and delivery within scope, time, and budget.Design and Construction Oversight: Offer guidance on design principles, procurement strategies, and construction methodologies that reflect best practice, sustainability, and resident-centred outcomes.Risk and Compliance: Support strong governance around construction contracts and project risk management.Asset Management: Contribute to long-term asset planning, lifecycle management, and facility maintenance strategies to ensure quality and sustainability of Elderbloom’s built environment.Commitment:Attend up to 6 Board meetings per year.Attend monthly Investment & Development Committee meetings.Prepare for meetings by reviewing materials and reports.Maintaining contemporary knowledge of Aged Care regulatory requirements.
