You’ll be central in coordinating strategic objectives, managing complex schedules, crafting high-level communications, and supporting active investigations and regulatory responses.This is a role for someone who brings diligence, sound judgement, and initiative. In return, you’ll be rewarded with a fascinating professional environment, exposure to high-profile matters, and remuneration that reflects the challenge and importance of your contribution.What you will be doing:You will be the connective tissue across administrative, operational, legal, and investigative streams, including:Supporting high profile investigations by identifying, sourcing, and reviewing documents using legal document-review software;Coordinating with external law firms, arranging meetings, preparing summaries, and liaising on active matters;Briefing senior colleagues on litigation and regulatory matters, including drafting concise written advice;Assisting with responses to regulatory inquiries—drafting correspondence, compiling materials, and coordinating submissions.Drafting, issuing, and managing responses to statutory notices (including under the FWRO Act).Compiling briefs to counsel and assisting in hearing preparation;Attending hearings to assist with matters before courts or tribunals;Developing presentations, communications, and reports for internal and external stakeholder;Maintaining systems, processes, and document repositories (SharePoint, OneDrive, Adobe suite etc.);Anticipating issues, escalating matters appropriately, and coordinating solutions across senior stakeholders;Contributing to workplace coherence, team communication, and operational efficiency.About YouTo excel in this role, you will bring a rare blend of administrative excellence, legal-operational insight, and personal drive. You have:Experience in high-tempo, high-stakes environments—professional services, legal, political, regulatory, or similar;Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, OneDrive, SharePoint) and PDF tools, plus comfort with legal document review/management platforms;A strong grasp of relevant legislation (e.g., the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), FWRO Act 2009 (Cth)) and the willingness and capability to learn fast;Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, including balancing your own workflow with the availability and priorities of senior staff;Outstanding written skills, with attention to detail in drafting, formatting, and reviewing sensitive documents;Confidence, initiative, and the ability to coordinate multiple senior stakeholders;Demonstrated discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism when handling sensitive or confidential materials;A mindset that embraces unfamiliar or bespoke tasks—because no two days will look the same;Experience building and improving systems and processes, perhaps in a start-up or evolving organisational context;Openness to a wide variety of responsibilities and the willingness to take ownership.What you bring:3-10 years post admission experience as an legal practitioner;Experience working with senior professionals in demanding environments;The ability to quickly digest complex information and translate it into clear advice;A positive, proactive, solution-focused approach to your work;The discipline to work independently, and the interpersonal skill to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.How to apply:Email the following to admin@atlascounsel.com.au:A brief cover letter (max 3 paragraphs—yes, really) explaining why you will thrive in this role.A current resume.Location: Melbourne CBDApplications Close: Monday 24 November 2025
