With over 3,000 employees and an annual turnover exceeding Rs. 65 billion, LAUGFS continues to grow, innovate, and empower millions of Sri Lankans every day.We are now looking for a dynamic and energetic individual to join our Supply Chain team as a Junior Executive – Supply Chain (Junior Retail Category Buyer) an excellent opportunity for those seeking to build a rewarding career in retail category management.The Role· Develop an in-depth knowledge of products in assigned categories and review stock against demand to maintain optimum stock levels.· Ensure appropriate approvals are obtained before purchases and obtain quotations from suppliers.· Prepare comparison of quotations, secure approvals, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best terms for the company.· Convert and raise Purchase Orders (Direct Store Deliveries & Central Purchasing Unit) as per SLA and share with suppliers, obtain acknowledgements, and track timely deliveries.· Ensure 100% availability of items while monitoring KPIs (fill rate, availability, stock days).· Manage supplier relationships, payments, price revisions, GP negotiations, GP corrections, and returns follow-ups.· Review daily and weekly performance, prepare reports, and provide updates to management.· Manage master data creation, modifications, and cancellations in line with SLAs.· Check approved PRs and liaise with SBUs to identify and validate requirements. Qualifications & Required Skills·Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.·1 year of experience in purchasing, procurement, or retail category management.· Strong analytical, negotiation, and coordination skills.· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems (SAP preferred).· Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.· High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Why Join LAUGFS?· Be part of a renowned Sri Lankan conglomerate with diverse business operations.· Gain exposure to retail buying and supply chain management.· A collaborative work environment that supports learning and career growth.How to ApplySend your CV to randhi.fernando@laugfs.lk with the subject line “Junior Retail Category Buyer” on or before 10th November 2025.
