This Engineering role is your gateway to supporting, enhancing, and implementing enterprise-grade security solutions that protect critical systems and data. You'll work across a diverse set of platforms, including Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Tripwire, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, and more, while helping to identify and close technology control gaps. Whether it’s fine-tuning existing tools, contributing to threat detection, or supporting DLP and SIEM platforms, your input will shape a proactive, high-performance security landscape.This is the ideal role for a security technologist who thrives on hands-on problem solving, scripting, and staying ahead of evolving threats. You’ll get the chance to automate controls, monitor cloud and hybrid environments, and work within established standards like ISO27001 and NIST CSF. If you're passionate about strengthening security maturity and want to grow in a dynamic, tech-forward environment, this is your opportunity to be at the core of modern enterprise cyber defence! Accountabilities and Responsibilites:  Assists in the planning, development and implementation of new security technologies to enable the continual improvement of security technology related controls.  Contributes to ensuring that existing security technologies and tooling are appropriately utilised and seeks opportunities to maximise the investment in existing capabilities.  Works with Associate and the Threat Management capability to identify technology control gaps and potential new threats that need to be addressed by new or existing security tooling capability.  Supports the data protection and DLP capabilities to ensure the protection of the organisations data and information.  Supports Security Platform support & maintenance with knowledge and understanding of the following platforms - Microsoft Sentinel SIEM, Microsoft Defender for Endpoints, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Tripwire, SNA (StealthWatch), Checkpoint and Palo Alto Firewalls (Managed through partner), Forcepoint (Managed through partner), Netwrix, Qualys, Trellix (ePO, NAS, Desktop, Server), Vercara IPGuardian, Secunia, Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) – SaaS / on Prem / Azure   Knowledge and Education:  Technical expertise in one or more of the following: VPN, firewall, network monitoring, intrusion detection, web server security and wireless security, cloud, and the Internet of Things (IoT)  Practical experience with implementing security controls such as database security, web content filtering, anomaly detection and response, and vulnerability scanning  Proficiency with at least one scripting language (e.g., Perl, Python and PowerShell)  Experience with cybersecurity tools and techniques to automate security tasks, improve security maturity, and enhance overall security posture  Strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills  Knowledge of security standards and regulations, such as ISO27001 and NIST CSF     What is it like to work at the EBRD? / About EBRD  Our agile and innovative approach is what makes life at the EBRD a unique experience!
