Senior C# Developer with Microsoft Visual FoxPro

Additionally, they are part of a larger global leader in shipping and logistics.About the role: Senior C# Developer with Microsoft Visual FoxPro:Support of a legacy, in-house developed Visual FoxPro application used for data integration, order management, and reporting (approx. 100 clients in the UK and some in Europe)24/7 support required (downtime typically only allowed on Saturday evenings)Management of four Windows application servers and two Citrix servers (detailed Citrix knowledge is not required)Occasional enhancements will be needed despite the system being gradually decommissioned over the next two yearsSupport of a C# web application and C# web services used by both internal and external usersParticipation in Teams meetings with clients and operationsInvolvement in decommissioning legacy applicationsSome out-of-hours work will be required for application/server management and operational or project supportRequired Skills:Strong experience with Microsoft Visual FoxPro (version 8)Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (2016), specifically:Analyzing and manipulating tablesWriting Transact-SQLUnderstanding SQL Server AgentProficiency in Microsoft C#, used for:Components of the Visual FoxPro applicationA web application (built with Web Forms)Web servicesFamiliarity with XML technologiesNice-to-Have Skills:Understanding of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) formats, such as IDocs, Custom formats, and EDIFACTBasic knowledge of Oracle (not at DBA level)Logistics industry experience (particularly warehousing and transport)Experience with warehouse management systems, ideally Blue Yonder DispatcherBenefits:25 days of paid annual leave; we value your leisure time.Food vouchers.Flexible and liberal work policy, remote or hybrid office space.
