STAFF ACCOUNTANTAbout the CompanyModern Technical Staffing is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established global manufacturer in the industrial technology sector. They are seeking a Staff Accountant to join their collaborative finance team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow your career within a dynamic and supportive organization.About the RoleThe Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing the full cycle of accounting processes and supporting the finance team in various tasks.Responsibilities:Manage the full cycle of accounts payable, including invoice processing, expense reports, and payment runs, ensuring proper approvals and documentation.Complete monthly account reconciliations, including inter-company and bank reconciliations.Handle fixed asset accounting, including monthly amortization and depreciation.Maintain and update Prepaid and Accrual schedules.Review GST/HST filings to ensure tax compliance.Assist the Director of Finance with month-end and year-end closing processes and the preparation of financial statements.Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis.Provide backup support for accounts receivable duties as needed.Participate in ad-hoc projects, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.Requirements:Degree or Diploma in Accounting.3–5 years of full-cycle accounting experience.Solid understanding of GAAP principles and accounting regulations.Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, logic statements).Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools is an asset.Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Required Skills:Full-cycle accounting experience.GAAP principles knowledge.Microsoft Excel proficiency.Organizational and communication skills.Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools.Pay range and compensation package:Base salary of $60,000–$65,000, plus annual bonus. Paid time off, including 3 weeks’ vacation, 5 sick days, 3 paid volunteer days, and half-day summer Fridays. Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage (after 3-month waiting period).
