As part of a partnership with the Chinese steel group Tsingshan, the world’s leading producer of stainless steel and the majority shareholder of PT Weda Bay Nickel, Eramet brings its technical and operational expertise on the mining operations. Long Term Mine Chief Engineer W/M Responsibilities Strategic Planning Develop, update and optimize LOM to 5-year plans and mining sequences. Conduct pit optimization and design of pit shells and sub-pits per year. Plan waste dump, haul roads, sediment ponds, quarries, and infrastructure platforms. Compliance & Reporting Prepare and submit data and documentation for Reserve certification. Support Feasibility Studies and AMDAL/RKAB filings. Deliver planning outputs for ESMD: monthly and quarterly reports. Monitor and report compliance with long-term plans. Coordination & Interfaces Work with geology, construction, permitting and operations teams to integrate inputs into the mine plan. Support interfaces with government agencies and corporate governance. Contribute to cross-functional planning reviews.About You BSc/MSc degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline. Minimum 5–7 years in long-term or strategic mine planning roles. Software proficiency of Mine design, strong data discipline. Experience with dashboards (Power BI, Tableau), and database tools. Understanding of short- and medium-term mine planning concepts. Knowledge of equipment performance metrics and mining productivity levers. Strong Excel, data modeling, and reporting capabilities Leadership in the field; ability to coach diverse teams and contractors Operational excellence and continuous improvement; strong problem solving Clear communication and influence across technical/operational stakeholders Resilience and adaptability in remote, fast-changing contexts Field presence and collaboration with operators and supervisors. Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. Fluent English required.
