Maintenance / Facility Technician – Join a Growing, High-Performance Manufacturing TeamOur client is looking for a dedicated Maintenance / Facility Technician to support a modern, advanced manufacturing site. In this role, you’ll help ensure the smooth and reliable operation of machinery, equipment, and facility systems, contributing directly to operational excellence.About the RoleAs part of a collaborative engineering and production team, you’ll perform planned preventive maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Working with an Asset Management System (such as Maximo), you’ll ensure equipment stays in top condition, downtime is minimized, and the facility operates efficiently and safely.This is a hands-on role with excellent growth potential for someone who enjoys technical challenges, troubleshooting, and making a meaningful impact on daily operations.What You’ll DoCarry out maintenance, repair, and rebuild work on machinery and facility infrastructure.Ensure all production equipment operates efficiently and safely.Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to address wear and tear before it becomes an issue.Respond quickly to breakdowns to keep production running smoothly and avoid unnecessary downtime.Work directly on the factory floor in a hands-on environment.Manage tools and spare parts inventory, ordering replacements when needed.Work on a 2-cycle shift schedule, with a future transition to a 4-cycle shift pattern.What You BringA Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline).At least 2 years of experience in a maintenance or technical role within a manufacturing environment.Familiarity with asset management systems such as Maximo is an advantage, though full training will be provided.Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.If this is of interest, please apply or send a copy of your up to date CV to kpiper@barringtonjames.com
