Leveraging advanced technologies such as autonomous capabilities, cyber-physical systems and directed energy to artificial intelligence, we recognize that changing the fundamentals of the defense industry will take real collaboration and creativity.Role DescriptionThe Finance Manager – Technology & Innovation Cluster is responsible to oversee the financial activities of the Cluster, it will be directly involved in different finance topics from project finance management to monthly financial report and planning.This position will work closely with cross-functional teams outside the Finance domain such as Engineering, Program Management, Strategy, Procurement and CTO office.The role focuses on optimizing R&D spend, improving cost visibility, and supporting decision-making for innovation investments.Key Responsibilities Financial Planning and Analysis Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, performance reviewing & management reporting Prepare and analyze quarterly forecasts for the cluster Consolidate annual R&D budgets and forecasts Partner with R&D and engineering teams to translate project plans into costed budgets Track funding allocations across programs, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy Project Finance and Reporting Understand budgeted cost basis for each project and monitor/control as per the project progress Work closely with program managers, engineers, and division heads in analyzing development costs, revenue, and profitability by project Monitor actual vs. budgeted spend on R&D projects and report variances Identify cost drivers, inefficiencies, and savings opportunities Ensure proper allocation of shared costs (labor, materials, overhead) to R&D projects Maintain accurate R&D capitalization and expense classification per IFRS standards Support to Month/Quarter/Year End activities Governance Ensure adherence to internal policies and IFRS/IAS 38 requirements on R&D accounting Support external and internal audit processes by maintaining documentation of R&D cost treatment Contribute to internal control enhancements over R&D spending Experience And Education Qualification Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s preferred). Professional certification: CPA, CMA, or equivalent 10+ years of finance experience, preferred R&D or manufacturing environments Understanding of IFRS, especially IAS 38 – Intangible Assets and cost capitalization rules Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP; strong Excel and BI skills Competencies Strong business modelling & advanced analytics skills to handle complex financial and data models Business partnering and cross-functional collaboration Precision in financial modeling and reporting Ability to balance cost control with innovation support
