Our proactive team of highly experienced doctors, nurses, and staff ensures that we deliver the highest standard of personalized care to our patients at all times.Role Summary:The Pharmacy Manager will oversee the overall operations of the hospital pharmacy, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective medication management. This role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, and adherence to regulatory & clinical standards across IP, OP, and emergency pharmacy services.Key Responsibilities:1. Pharmacy Operations ManagementSupervise day-to-day operations of IP, OP, and Emergency pharmacy.Ensure timely and accurate dispensing of medications.Maintain strict control over stock, indenting, expiry management, and narcotics handling.Ensure 24/7 availability of critical medicines and medical consumables.2. Inventory & Supply Chain ManagementOversee procurement, vendor coordination, negotiations, and purchase planning.Monitor stock levels, minimize pilferage, and ensure optimal inventory turn-around.Implement FIFO/FEFO practices and ensure zero stock-out situations.3. Regulatory & ComplianceEnsure pharmacy operations comply with FDA/Drug Control regulations.Maintain all statutory records, licenses, and audit documentation.Ensure proper storage, labelling, and handling of medications as per standards.4. Quality & Patient SafetyImplement best practices in medication management.Ensure adherence to NABH/JCI standards related to pharmacy.Conduct regular audits on medication errors, expiry checks, and SOP compliance.5. Team LeadershipLead, train, and supervise pharmacists and pharmacy assistants.Develop duty rosters and ensure adequate staffing during all shifts.Conduct periodic training on medication safety, LASA drugs, antibiotic protocols, etc.6. Coordination With Clinical & Administrative TeamsWork closely with doctors, nursing, and clinical departments for seamless medication availability.Collaborate with finance and purchase for budgeting and cost control.Support hospital leadership in strategic planning for pharmacy services.7. Technology & Process ImprovementDrive automation initiatives (EMR integration, e-prescription, barcode scanning).Review and improve SOPs for efficiency and accuracy.Ensure proper utilization of pharmacy management software.Skills & Competencies:Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.Strong analytical and planning ability.Knowledge of drug regulations, HSN codes, and statutory compliance.Leadership skills with ability to manage a team effectively.Proficiency in ERP / hospital management software for purchase and inventory.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Cost savings achieved through procurement strategies.Vendor performance and timely supply rate.Stock-out rate and inventory turnover ratio.Compliance audit scores.Stakeholder satisfaction (clinicians, pharmacy, finance).
