Dayspring Trust offers an opportunity for a Social Worker with 2-3 years' experience in maternal mental health (preferred) or mental health to join our team in a permanent part-time position in New Lynn, Auckland.This important role supports mothers to build capacity to maintain wellness. The role varies as each client has their own unique circumstances and support needs due to experiencing moderate to severe postnatal depression or ongoing mental illness.The RoleDayspring's maternal mental health support team offers a variety of support to the māmā we work with, such as:Supporting māmā to maintain mental wellbeing and work alongside other health professionals to ensure the most effective careFinding the right support networksAccessing community resourcesAssisting in integration into the communityAdvocacy with WINZ, Court or health related mattersReferring to appropriate agenciesProviding support and connection groups for māmā onsite at DayspringThis role involves travel within North and West Auckland as the role requires visiting clients in their homes within the Waitematā DHB area.
