NDIS Support Coordinator (Independent Contractor) – Newcastle/Maitland NSW Blue Bay Support Coordination is seeking an experienced NDIS Support Coordinator to join our team as an independent contractor in the Newcastle/Maitland region. Manageable Caseloads: Work with a smaller, manageable caseload of participants, allowing you to provide quality support while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Professional Independence: Operate as a subcontractor under Blue Bay’s NDIS registration, while being backed by our established systems. We believe all people should have the opportunity to live the life they choose.  Key ResponsibilitiesAs an NDIS Support Coordinator with Blue Bay, you will:Coordinate Participant Supports: Provide person-centered coordination of supports to assist participants in understanding and implementing their NDIS plans and achieving their goals.Capacity Building: Empower participants to build skills and independence by connecting them with appropriate services and community resources.Service Navigation: Liaise with participants’ families, service providers, the NDIA, and other stakeholders to ensure services are arranged and delivered effectively.Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor participant progress, address issues or crises as they arise, and maintain accurate documentation and reports in line with NDIS requirements and Blue Bay’s policies. Continuity of Care: Ensure participants receive continuous support and that their needs are met with consistency and quality service.About You (Selection Criteria)Essential:·      Previous Support Coordination and Sector Experience: Must have at least 1 year of direct experience working as an NDIS Support Coordinator, and experience in the disability, mental health, or community services sector (e.g. NDIS support coordination, case management, allied health services).·      Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in social work, psychology, teaching, allied health, community welfare, or a related field . Min Certificate IV ·      Organizational Skills: Proven ability to set priorities, plan and organise your own workflow, and meet deadlines while working independently.·      Communication: Well-developed communication skills, able to communicate with a wide range of people ·      Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve conflict and handle sensitive or confidential matters with professionalism and discretion.·      Independent Contractor Requirements: Ability to operate as an independent contractor, including having (or willingness to obtain) an ABN and appropriate insurances (professional indemnity/public liability).
