You take pride in supporting children to reach their potential and thrive in a collaborative school environment.A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People CardExperience working with students of all primary agesThe ability to work collaboratively with CGS team membersExperience working with students with additional needs, e.g. behavioural support, learning support, social support, and emotional supportWell-developed organisational skills that will assist in the delivery of effective educational programmes to studentsThe ability to assist with the general well-being of studentsHold or be willing to obtain HLTAID009 – Provide CPR and HLTAID012 Provide first aid in an education and care setting certificationsWell-developed organisational skills that will assist in the delivery of effective educational programs to studentsSound oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with students, parents and teaching professionalsSound interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a teamFor Learning Assistant roles in ELC and Pre-K Classrooms:Hold or be actively working toward a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Education SupportUnderstanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and knowledge of the National Quality StandardsAll team members at CGS are required to have:A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People CardA current National Police CheckA relevant tertiary degree and teaching qualificationFull working rights within AustraliaExcellent written English and effective interpersonal communication skillsExcellent understanding of all elements of learning and teachingBenefits For YouAt Canberra Grammar School, we believe our people are our greatest strength.
