The RoleAs the Platform Product Manager, you’ll own the core horizontal capabilities that power every JET Charge product and service. These include tenant and identity management, subscription and customer billing, authentication and authorisation, data services, remote device services, and shared infrastructure.Your mission is simple: make it dramatically easier and faster for every product squad to ship reliable, secure, and consistent experiences at scale. You’ll shape and execute the platform roadmap, balancing foundational investments, tech debt, and internal customer needs so the platform becomes a force multiplier for the whole business.This is a highly technical, hands-on role. You’ll work closely with engineering, architecture, security, finance, legal, operations, and customer-facing teams to ensure the platform is robust, well-documented, and aligned with company strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & VisionDefine the long-term vision and strategy for platform capabilities, aligned with company and product objectives.Maintain a clear, outcome-based roadmap that balances foundational improvements, tech debt, internal customer needs, and scalability.Identify platform gaps and emerging business needs, designing horizontal solutions that can be reused across multiple squads.End-to-End Lifecycle OwnershipSet and uphold standards for APIs, data models, naming conventions, and access patterns across shared capabilities.Ensure platform documentation is comprehensive, current, and easy for internal teams to adopt.Champion consistency, modularity, and reuse across the product ecosystem.Partner with security and compliance to embed regulatory, privacy, and risk requirements into every platform component.Data-Driven Decision-MakingDefine and own metrics and SLAs for platform services (e.g. availability, latency, billing accuracy, identity uptime).Use data, telemetry, and feedback loops to iterate on platform performance and usability.Drive observability and supportability, ensuring issues are detected, diagnosed, and resolved quickly.Lead build vs buy evaluations, making pragmatic decisions that keep the platform efficient and future-proof.Execution ExcellenceTranslate platform strategy into clear product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.Work with engineering leads to scope, sequence, and deliver incremental enhancements to platform capabilities.Ensure non-functional requirements (security, performance, availability, compliance) are baked into every feature.Plan and run rollouts for internal customers, ensuring smooth adoption across multiple product teams.Stakeholder Influence & CollaborationBuild strong relationships with internal product teams, platform engineering, finance, data, customer care, sales, and operations.Act as the “voice of the platform”, synthesising the needs of multiple squads into shared, scalable solutions.Facilitate cross-team discovery sessions, API design workshops, and architectural alignment with Platform Engineering and Architecture.What We Are Looking ForQualifications & Experience5+ years experience in Product Management, with at least 2 years in a platform, technical, or B2B SaaS environment.Strong understanding of backend systems, APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and data models.Proven ability to translate deep technical concepts into clear business value—and vice versa.Track record of leading cross-functional delivery in complex environments.Experience working with engineering on platform reliability, scalability, and non-functional requirements.Experience with OCPP, OCPI and ISO 15118 is highly desirable.Experience with billing systems, subscription platforms, or identity/tenant management is desirable.Our Commitment to YouAt JET Charge, we believe our culture is our competitive advantage—diverse, determined, and fearless.
