So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.About The JobWe are looking for a motivated and experienced Purchasing Team Leader to oversee and drive operational purchasing activities at our site, in alignment with Alfa Laval’s project methodology and strategic objectives.Our Alfa Laval site in Allschwil, Switzerland is one of the world leaders in the design and manufacture of cryogenic pumps for the liquefied gas industry.What You’ll DoLead, mentor, and develop the purchasing team, fostering expertise, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Implement sub-commodity and local sourcing strategies, ensuring alignment with global guidelines.Develop, communicate, and follow up on operational purchasing plans based on defined sourcing strategies.Drive material cost-reduction initiatives and ensure strong supplier performance for the site.Ensure the implementation of policies, compliance standards, and sourcing strategies on site.Contribute to the development of global tools and procedures and ensure their deployment at local level.Define, monitor, and communicate KPIs, ensuring targets are clearly understood and achieved.Support cross-functional collaboration to secure supply, optimize processes, and strengthen supplier relationships.Prepare, consolidate, and deliver accurate purchasing reports to Group management, ensuring full transparency on performance, risks, and strategic progress. Supervise and animate the Scheduling activities to secure efficient planning and seamless operational performance.What You BringMinimum 10 years of managerial experience in purchasing/procurement/sourcing, ideally witihin an industrial and international environment Prior experience in Scheduling/Planning, with the ability to analyze constraints and optimize short-term plans is a big plus.Fluency in French and English (written and spoken), and a minimum B2 level in German.A dynamic leadership style, strong organizational abilities, and sound decision-making skills.Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.Strong negotiation skills and the highest level of business integrity.An autonomous, analytical mindset with a proven ability to drive performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement.Outstanding communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence across functions.What’s in it for you?A challenging role in an open environment where collaboration and development are encouraged.We look forward to receiving your resume and cover letter.
