The RoleAs QA Engineer at Lyrebird, you’ll be the guardian of product quality - designing, implementing, and automating tests across our web, API, and AI-driven features.You’ll work closely with our design and engineering teams to define acceptance criteria, spot risk early, and make sure every deployment is as stable as it is fast.This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving startup, enjoys automating what others test manually, and takes pride in building systems that catch issues before users do.About UsLyrebird Health is transforming the quality and accessibility of healthcare by automating clinicians’ most time-consuming tasks. We value that trust above all else and strive to earn it while continuing to amaze our users.What You'll DoOwn the testing strategy across our product surface - web app, integrations, and API endpointsDesign and maintain automated test suites (end-to-end, regression, integration)Implement continuous testing within our CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, AWS)Define and document test plans and acceptance criteria for new featuresCollaborate with engineers and PMs to identify, reproduce, and fix bugs early in the cycleMonitor and improve test coverage, speed, and reliabilityChampion product quality and performance across the entire engineering organisationWhat You Bring3+ years experience in QA or Software Testing within a product-led environmentStrong knowledge of automated testing frameworks (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest, or equivalent)Experience testing REST APIs and integrating automated API tests into pipelinesUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar)Familiarity with TypeScript / JavaScript and ability to write automated scriptsStrong analytical mindset, structured thinking, and attention to detailAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first engineering cultureBonus points if you haveExperience in healthtech, medtech, or regulated software environmentsKnowledge of FHIR / HL7 standards, or healthcare system integrationsExposure to AWS, Docker, or similar cloud infrastructure toolsWhat Success Looks LikeEvery release is stable, predictable, and fastAutomated tests catch issues before customers doEngineering velocity increases because of QA, not despite itTest coverage and reliability continuously improveConfidence in each deployment grows week by weekAt Lyrebird, you won’t just write code — you’ll help shape the future of the human experience.If you want to pioneer, to create, and to see your work touch lives directly, we’d love to hear from you.We’re building a team that reflects the diversity of the people who’ll benefit from our work.
