Job Description

Job DescriptionSandborn Roofs & Seals Inc. is seeking a knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused Quality Assurance Inspector to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all work related to tanks, floating roofs, and seal systems meets industry standards, API specifications, and company quality expectations. This position is essential to maintaining the high level of workmanship and safety our company is known for. Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure all company and client safety standards are met and strictly adhered to.Perform some inspections related to API 650 tanks, floating roofs, seals, and associated components.Ensure all seals and floating roofs meet required specifications, codes, and standards, including API and ECCC regulations.Review, verify, and maintain quality control documentation for projects.Coordinate and supervise field inspections and ensure all data is taken thoroughly and correctly.Prepare detailed quality reports using Microsoft Word & Excel.Communicate inspection findings to project managers, site supervisors, and clients as required.Identify non-conformances and assist in corrective action planning.Maintain and update QA/QC records and logs in accordance with company procedures.Support project teams in meeting quality, safety, and compliance requirements.Participate in on-site audits and assist with internal quality assurance initiatives.Travel to project sites throughout Canada; overnight stays required.Other duties as assigned. RequirementsExperience with API 650 tanks is required.Strong understanding of floating roofs and seals.API 653 accreditation is considered a strong asset.Quality Assurance certification or relevant training required.Physically able to climb tank stairs and access elevated areas safely.Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel; strong report-writing skills.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple inspections and deadlines.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
