And that’s where you come in.Bucharest, Romania (Hybrid)VALIDATOR ENGINEER - RAILWAY SOLUTIONSBrief task descriptionValidation of safety-critical application software for railway systems, including:Validation of technical documentation (Development Plans, Requirements specification, Architecture and Detail Design documents, Safety Concepts, Test Specifications and Reports, User manuals, Verification Reports)Validation of the test coverage and the fulfilment of coding rulesSpecification, implementation and execution of validation testsEvaluation of solved and unsolved defects regarding the safety and/or operational impactValidation of the engineering software development life-cycle adherence to the relevant norms (CENELEC railway standards)Responsible for the validation report that summarizes the results of validation activitiesWe are looking for an outstanding applicant who can demonstrate the following qualities:Professional competencyEducation:Technical study of computer science, transportation, mathematics, physics or similar;Preferred project experience:Experiences in Software Development and/or System EngineeringExperience in Railway Application Development is a plusExperience with safety relevant systems (preferable SIL4 according CENELEC 50128)Knowledge of functional safety standards like IEC 61508/61511, ISO 26262 or similar (preferred CENELEC EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, EN 50159)Programming languages:C/C++ (ability to understand source code)Java (ability to understand source code)Preferred tools and methods:Verification, validation or safety management of software applicationsClearCase / GIT for Software Configuration ManagementClearQuest / JIRA for Defect and Change ManagementDOORS for Requirements ManagementJIRA for task managementMicrosoft Office ToolsPersonal competencies:Analytical thinking ability and good observation skillsStructured and well-organisedTeamworkIntercultural communication, including the empathy to work in an international teamAvailability to travel abroad from time to time, longer travel periods to Germany might be required for initial trainingsLanguages:English (very good reading and writing)German and/or French is a plusBenefits:Professional development in a multinational environment, training opportunities, attractive salary, medical care, restaurant tickets, sports programsThank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
