Records Clerk – Full-Time, On-site (Washington, DC)Cadence Group is seeking a detail-oriented Records Clerk to support our client in Washington, DC. This position plays a key role in an electronic records conversion project and provides ongoing support to the Records Center.Responsibilities:Handles day-to-day records management tasks, including inventorying, filing, organizing, and maintaining records.Familiarity with records classification and retention policies.Contributes to the development and maintenance of a systematic records classification systemOrganizes, classifies, and tags content based on pre‐defined standards and proceduresAssigns all required meta‐data and inputs in the appropriate formatResponsible for filing, sorting, scanning/OCR, tracking file location, and uploading filesPerforms quality checks on scanned imagesApplies established access controls to information holdingsAssists end-users with database searches and reportsResponds to daily records and file requests from various end-users by locating, pulling, and delivering records in person or electronicallyAssists in indexing and boxing records to go offsite, performs data entryTracks offsite storage inventory; retrieves paper or microform records from offsite storage or onsite records centerAssists with records management-related projectsQualifications:Must be a United States citizen.Must have at least 3+ years of experience in records management and clerical roles.Experience using at least one document management systemExperience using scanning softwareExperience with microfilm or microficheMinimum two (2) years’ experience in records, library or related fieldExcellent customer service, written and verbal communication skillsStrong working knowledge of MS Office SuiteAbility to lift and move boxes weighing 25 poundsBachelor's degree in information science, information management or related discipline preferredExperience working in the utilities industry is highly preferredDatabase experience plusCadence Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
