We are looking for a Risk Manager / Risk Analyst in Almaty office!Location: Almaty, KazakhstanPortfolio: South AfricaResponsibilities:Develop and support the credit decision-making strategy for individual clients (setting scorecard cut-offs, approval/decline rules)Implement and integrate new data sources (alternative data, partner APIs, credit bureau data)Design and maintain credit limit policies and rulesAnalyze portfolio quality, monitor key metrics (FPD, NPL, approval rate), and prepare regular reportsDevelop A/B tests, validate models, and assess the impact of changes on risk and profitabilityCollaborate with product, analytics, and IT teams to implement solutionsEnsure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirementsRequirements:University degree in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline2+ years of experience as a risk manager, credit risk analyst, or in a credit team of an MFI/bankKnowledge of scoring methods, credit modeling, and risk assessmentExperience with alternative data sources and external API integrations is a plusProficiency in Excel, SQLPython knowledge is a strong advantageStrong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teamsEnglish level: B2 or higherWe are offering:An opportunity to work in an international company within a dynamic, competitive, and fast-paced industryInvolvement in challenging projects where your contributions will have a tangible impactA supportive and collaborative team environment with great colleaguesA competitive monthly salary of up to 3000 EUR gross, based on experience, education, and competencies
