Sailor

Role Description This is a contract role for a Sailor, located on-site in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Sailor will be responsible for a variety of daily tasks including navigating vessels, maintaining ship equipment, adhering to maritime safety protocols, and ensuring the operational readiness of the vessel. Duties also include assisting in docking and undocking procedures, supervising cargo operations, and supporting the ship's crew during routine and emergency situations. Qualifications Proficiency in navigation, seamanship, and maritime operationsPractical knowledge of equipment maintenance and shipboard systemsUnderstanding of maritime safety regulations and emergency proceduresAbility to collaborate with crew members and follow instructions effectivelyPhysical fitness and endurance for tasks requiring manual labor at seaRelevant certifications such as STCW training or other recognized maritime credentialsExperience with cargo handling and docking procedures is a plusPossession of a valid seafarer's medical certificate
